Childhood Is the Happiest Time of a Person’s Life Essay

I do concur the possibility that the most upbeat time for each individual no doubt would be their youth. Since individuals are distinctive in numerous territories, they may have various suppositions about the reasons; nonetheless, I accept that adolescence is the most joyful time since first kids at that age don't have any unique obligation, and second they are kids and their brain and the manner in which they think totally not quite the same as youngsters and grown-ups. As such, their brains are free. To begin with, as a youngster you don't need to assume any perceptible liability. You simply play and make the most of your every day life. A youngster doesn't get into the difficulties of for instance contemplating, going to work or in any event, having family obligations like a dad or mother. If there should be an occurrence of regular day to day existence, develops are managing a ton of tasks and obligations. Take the instance of a mother for example, she ought to need to deal with the house, do the every day errands, for example, cooking, pressing, cleaning and exhausting obligations like that. In addition, she needs to take care of her kid or kids as well. Taking into account that she doesn't need to work like her mate outside the house. Children’s most significant concern would be the size of their bike or the quantity of their toys they have. Second, as a youngster your brain is generally liberated from numerous things which may cause challenge, for example, political or money related issues. Besides, in that period they will in general make companions a lot simpler not at all like youngsters. The things they are glancing in a companionship are not materialistic. The reason for make a connection with their friends would not be for utilizing them in further basic circumstances. They basically make companions to play with one another or to share their toys. Next to referenced focuses, their necessities are very little confounded. They would turn out to be effectively glad by giving them a note pad and bundle of shading pencils as though they are given an extravagance vehicle or a high-positioned position in an organization. All in all, I consider the youth time as the most essential and most joyful for everybody for the most part on the grounds that at that age, our desires from life and others around us are extremely straightforward and would not raise anybody ruckus.

A new challenge for Trnscraanial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Essay

Another test for Trnscraanial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) - Essay Example TMS is a strategy which actuates attractive fields to start the exercises of the mind. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation depends on electromagnetic acceptance. When contrasted with the other clinical techniques, TMS is protected as it doesn't bring about any symptoms. Like the idea of electrical and attractive fields, an animating curl is utilized to treat the influenced piece of the human cerebrum. The instrument utilized in TMS is commonly planned so that the present streams from both the heading. A White Christmas

A White Christmas My family isnt really into traditions. We dont celebrate many holidays because a lot of our extended family doesnt live within a drivable distance. However, the one tradition that my family does have is our annual ski trip over winter break. This year was no exception, so my family packed up our winter clothing and headed to Colorado to spend a week in the snowy mountains. (I always find it funny that I look forward to going home over break to escape the Boston weather, but spend half of the break in arguably worse weather than the Boston weather.) This winter break has been an actual break for me this year- it seems like almost every other holiday is cluttered with things I said Id do during the semester and didnt have time to do. But with things lining up now, I can finally take the time to decompress and enjoy spending time with my family. I dont know if there are that many sensations in the world that can compare to skiing. When youre on the slope, its just you and the mountain. You point your skis down the hill and let gravity help you on your way. As you turn down the hill, you feel like youre floating. Its honestly this magical sensation. If youve never been before, I really suggest trying it once in your lifetime! Although I cant take you all skiing with me, I did take some photos so I could share the experience. Being out here reminded me that the world is a beautiful place. Its easy to forget that when youre stuck in your bubble at home or at MIT. I hope everyone is having a wonderful, relaxing holiday.  Moxie, my ski instructor Marys cheagle (chihuahua beagle) certainly is! Merry Christmas!!

Best Majors for Pre-med Students

Are you aspiring to join the medical field? Your undergraduate major isnt nearly as important to medical school admissions as most students think. In fact, the very idea of a pre-med major is misleading because you can complete required pre-med coursework while pursuing any major. And while it may be tempting to think that biology is the best major for a medical school application, admissions data suggests otherwise. Math, humanities, and physical science majors slightly outperform biology majors on the MCAT, and they are also slightly more likely to receive acceptance to med school. These statistical differences are small, but they should be encouraging to med school hopefuls who also have interests in other areas. However, regardless of major, medical school applicants do need to plan their undergraduate classes carefully. To be prepared for the MCAT and medical school admissions requirements, all pre-med students should take classes in biology, chemistry (especially organic chemistry), physics, and math (calculus will be required by some programs). Courses in psychology and sociology are also a good idea. If you have completed this coursework successfully, your major doesnt matter so much to medical schools; in fact, a unique major might make you stand out. All of the majors in the following list will help you hone important skills needed for medical school. Read on to learn more about the best majors for pre-med students. Biology Biology is a logical choice for undergrad students intending to go to medical school. For one, students who want to go into medicine presumably enjoy the biological sciences, so they will be studying a field that genuinely interests them. But also, biology majors will—in the course of their normal coursework—fulfill most prerequisite coursework for medical school applications. Biology is the most popular major for medical school applicants. According to the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), 29,443 students who majored in the biological sciences applied to medical school, and they had a mean MCAT score of 505.5. Of those students, 11,843 entered medical school for an enrollment rate of 40.2%. Math and Statistics According to the AAMC, math and statistics majors have the highest mean score on the MCAT of any major: 509.4. They also have the highest enrollment rate: 48% of math-major applicants end up attending medical school. The reality is that most math and statistics majors do not go into health fields, but when they do, they are clearly quite successful. Math majors are good at problem-solving and logical thinking. They are trained to work with data, map out patterns, and find solutions. While the MCAT doesnt have a math section, it does have many questions that involve reading tables and graphs to draw conclusions. Engineering Most engineering majors plan to be engineers, but the skills learned as an undergraduate engineering major can be extremely useful for medical school and the practice of medicine. The human body, after all, is an extremely complex machine that functions using mechanical, electrical, chemical, and fluid systems. Engineers are taught to think in ways that have clear applications to the human body. Their ability to analyze complex systems and find solutions to system failures has clear applications within the medical profession. Nearly any engineering field can be a good choice for med school preparation. Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, and materials science all have applications in health fields, and they all teach skills that are good preparation for the MCAT. The AAMC does not have admissions data for engineering majors because it is an uncommon pre-med choice, but its likely that engineers would perform similarly to math majors. English English may seem like a rather unusual choice for medical school preparation, but data suggests otherwise. English and other humanities majors do better on the MCAT than biology majors, with a mean score of 507.6 compared to biologys 505.5. Similarly, humanities majors are statistically more successful with their med school applications than biology majors, even though they tend to have lower overall GPAs and science GPAs. What explains this situation? Think about the training English majors receive: English study is all about critical thinking, careful reading, textual analysis, analytical writing, and clear communication. Such skills are obviously helpful for the MCATs Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills section, but they can come into play in other sections as well. Also, English majors are well-prepared to write their personal statements and often perform well in interviews. If you love English but want to go to medical school, dont shy away from an English major, and remember that other humanities fields—history, philosophy, languages—have similar advantages. Spanish The argument for a Spanish major is similar to that of an English major. Youll learn critical thinking, analytical writing, close reading, and effective communication skills. And like English and other humanities majors, youll be in a field that outperforms biology majors on the MCAT, which is an encouraging sign. Spanish has some extra advantages though. By becoming proficient in a second language, youll be able to communicate with more patients. In the United States, Spanish is more prevalent than any other foreign language. Communication barriers are serious problems in hospitals, and many employers will give preference to job candidates who have second language skills. You may also find that your Spanish language skills open up interesting medical school opportunities for studying and practicing medicine abroad. Psychology Students in the social sciences—psychology, sociology, anthropology—tend to score about the same as biology majors on the MCAT. According to the AAMC, they earned a mean score of 505.6 compared to biologys 505.5. They also enroll at a slightly higher rate (41% vs 40%). The MCAT section Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior will be a breeze for psychology majors. Many psychology majors also study biochemistry, and classroom subjects have direct relevance to medical school topics: cognitive function, physiology, mental health disorders, and the workings of the brain. Plus, as we learn more about the close connection between mental and physical health, a psychology major will become increasingly relevant to the world of medicine. Physics Students who major in the physical sciences—physics, chemistry, astronomy, geology—are among the top performers on the MCAT with a mean score of 508. Their medical school enrollment rate is slightly below humanities and math majors, but still 6% higher than biology majors (46% vs 40%). Physics majors tend to be excellent problem solvers and critical thinkers. They understand scientific processes and research methods. They learn valuable quantitative skills and can grasp how systems work. The bodys electrical and mechanical systems will be easy for a physics student to interpret. They will also have an advantage on the MCATs Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems section. Nursing Nursing majors do not necessarily have to become nurses, and the skills they learn in nursing school have obvious relevance to medical school. A nursing student will have a greater knowledge of anatomy, nutrition, physiology, and microbiology than applicants from most other majors. When it comes time for clinical practice in medical school, nursing students will already feel at home because of their undergraduate clinical experiences. Math and English majors may have higher mean scores on the MCAT, but nursing majors will have far more familiarity with hospitals, medical equipment, and patient interactions. Nurses and students in the health sciences have mean MCAT scores that are lower than other majors (a 502.4 compared to a 505.6 across all majors). They also enroll at a lower rate (36% compared to 41% for all majors). That said, they have already demonstrated their dedication to a medical profession, and their nursing background can give them an invaluable understanding of a hospital environment that medical school admissions committees dont overlook. Conditions at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory - 1911

To understand the Triangle Shirtwaist factory fire of 1911, its helpful to get a picture of the conditions at the factory before and at the time of the fire. Conditions at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Most of the workers were young immigrants, Russian Jews or Italians, with some German and Hungarian immigrants as well. Some were as young as 12 to 15 years old, and often sisters or daughters and mother or cousins were all employed at the shop. The 500-600 workers were paid at piecework rates, so that pay for any individual depended on the skill of the work done (men mostly did the collars, which was a more highly paid task) and how quickly one worked. Pay averaged around $7 per week for most, with some paid as high as $12 per week. At the time of the fire, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory was not a union shop, though some workers were members of the ILGWU.  The 1909 Uprising of the Twenty Thousand and the 1910 Great Revolt had led to growth in the ILGWU and to some preferential shops, but the Triangle Factory was not among those. Triangle Shirtwaist Factory owners Max Blanck and Isaac Harris were concerned about employee theft. On the ninth floor there were only two doors; one was routinely locked, leaving open only the door to the stairwell to the Greene Street exit. That way, the company could inspect handbags and any packages of workers on their way out at the end of the work day. There were no sprinklers in the building. There had been no fire drills to practice response to fires, though a fire expert, hired in 1909 on the advice of an insurance company, had recommended implementing fire drills. There was one fire escape which proved not very strong, and an elevator. On March 25, as most Saturdays, workers had begun to clear the work areas and fill bins with fabric scraps. Garments and cloth were in piles, and there would have been considerable fabric dust from the cutting and sewing process. Most of the light inside the building came from gas lamps. The Study of Personality and Time Perception Essay example

There have been many studies in the past which have investigated the effect of personality on our mental abilities. For instance Hannon et al. (1995) conducted research into the effect of extraversion and introversion on long term and short term forthcoming memory. Results show extroverts came up with less errors in comparison to introverts in regards to short and long term memory. In this present study we aim to investigate the effects of extraversion and introversion on time perception. With the directional hypothesis suggesting there will be a negative correlation between extraversion and time perception, it is later noted that this isnt the case, resulting in the hypothesis being rejected. It would be safe to say that further research†¦show more content†¦On the other hand he regards an introvert as someone who is quiet, introspective, to themself, and reflective (Pervin, Cervone, John, 2005). Eysenck (1990) he believes there is a biological basis for personality (cited in Burger, 2000). To support this claim Eysenck argued the consistency of extraversion and introversion over a long period of time, implying your environment doesnt affect our biological make up. Studies have supported this point, in which he found that persons level of individual difference remains around the same level over a period of time. Conley (1984, 1985) found that participants showed a consistent level of extraversion - introversion over a period of 45 years (cited in Burger, 2000), however this does not say whether extraversion- introversion is determined by biology, as our environment does play a part in our development. During his career, Eysenck came up with different questionnaires to assess the traits in ones personality. He came up with the Maudsley Personality Inventory, the Eysenck Personality Inventory, and the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire - abbreviated as EPQ (Pervin, Cervone, John, 2005). With his work being a great contribution to Psychology, it comes as no surprise that one of his questionnaires (EPQ) is commonly used today to assess personality. Black British Music is seen as very influential not only for Black British culture however for Britain music as a whole. The mixture of pop, ska, and punk had a huge impact on not only blacks in Britain however whites also. We will write a custom essay sample on The Rise of Black British Culture from Black British Music Like Reggae or any similar topic only for you Order Now Another aspect of the Black British culture is the rise of the black culture in politics, labor, and education. Like America, blacks in the postwar Britain were discrimination against and were not welcomed with open arms; however Black British held onto their culture and earned their place in society. Black British music is very influential in Britain to most individuals in society. Through â€Å"Some Kind of Black† written by Diran Adebayo, the reader can see the influence of music in characters. Reggae, Hip Hop, and Jungle music are three types of Black British music that are very influential in Britain. Black British music contains music from performers like George Bridgetower to Billy Waters, who was more of a street performer. Black British music is developed by various influences; especially Caribbean influences, it also has been influenced by Black American styles of music like rap. Like most music, Black British music has many influences however it has its own distinctive identity and represents Black British as a whole. Reggae is one very influential type of Black British music. It was developed in Jamaica around the late 1960s and contains different styles of music like ska and rocksteady. Groups like ‘Black Roots’ were very influential in the eighties and nineties. Reggae contains various instruments from the drums and other percussions, to bass, guitars, keyboards, horns, vocals, ect. Reggae is still very popular today all around the world. Hip Hop is also a very influential factor in the Black British culture, however it represented a new generation of blacks in Britain. This type of music was seen in â€Å"Some Kind of Black’ as moving on from the generation of new immigrants to actually being born in Britain. Hip Hop started in the 1970s and became very popular in the 1980s. Most of the hip hop music in Britain was created by men and was seen as very masculine and tough. This type of music definitely impacted the perception on blacks and developed various stereotypes for the Black British society. It portrayed the criminal, gangster blacks in society, which gave society a very harsh and negative outlook on men. Also a lot of this music was concentrated on sex, or drugs. During the post war Britain era, many women were seen as objects or sex symbols and a lot of this music contained this perception of women so it definitely influenced the view of women at the time. A lot of the rappers, or individuals who were involved with hip hop were always seen with a lot of women, so the individuals who saw them as idols, were impacted by this type of behavior, which didn’t help the view of women. With the influences of music, and blacks defining their own blackness identity throughout Britain, the Black British culture has made a lot of progress in society as a whole. Like America, Black British was portrayed as invisible, criminals, and also accompanied lower positions in the labor market. However, today Black British are occupying better paid jobs, political positions, and incorporation their own identity and culture within the British society. Black British has various aspects of their culture however music is one I find very interesting and very influential to the blacks in Britain. Today, a lot of the Black British music is seen in America, also during the past this type of music impacted individuals in America, so not only is Black British culture influencing Britain, and Europe it also influences America and other countries around the world. Create Interesting Advertisements Samples †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Create Interesting Advertisements. Answer: Introduction Advertisements are the way to influence and capture the attention of the consumers. Advertisements need to be creative, innovative, unique and should be able to bond with the masses. To create interesting advertisements, the brands use consumer behavior to connect with their mindset, behavior, and emotions this can drive them to use advertised products and services. Some advertisements are creative which grab customer thoughts with their appalling messages and contents. Research and evidence have found that the consumers can connect with the advertisements due to various reasons which can religion, emotional, sentiments or due to the consumer behavior. An advertisement is an audio and the visual content of the marketing communication. It needs to be a known personal and sponsored which can promote any innovative product or services. The advertiser has a control of the message and the advertiser is required to be paid. It is not personal and not directed to one individual; it is broad casted for the masses. It can be communicated through the various mass media (Brownlees, 2017). The advertisements creation can be broadcasted through various modes and channels such as television, radio, magazines, newspaper and the content is offered in an innovative message which is appealing and catchy. The advertisements can be commercial and the not commercial one, while the commercial can be associated with specific brand products and services in order to promote the sales such as Coca Cola or Colgate. The no commercial one is usually the advertisements which are paid by the political bodies, religious organisation and the ethical bodies such as political campaigning etc.. The other types of advertisements are broadcasted by the non profit organisation which is to create awareness and the follow a modes of persuasion for example tobacco advertisement, child welfare etc. Identify the advertisement The advertisement which I have identified is the marketing campaigning for the Lamb (Armstrong, 2015). This advertisement is broadcasted to promote Meat and lamb within the Australia which has various religious figures such as Lord Ganesha, Jesus, Buddha, Scientology, founder Ron Hubbard had a lunch. They are having a lamb lunch and the discussion is the uniqueness and the promotion of the Australian Lamb and Meat eating. The main objective is to create awareness and appeal the masses, by making them understand the benefit of eating the Lamb and meat eating. The campaigning main aim is to establish that irrespective of the religion and diversities within the Australia, everything can be connected by offering a lamb lunch. The media channels such as television, radio, newspaper and various public relations have joined hands in order to promote the Lamb and meat camping within the Australia. It is advertised in the traditional and modern Australia which is broadcasted for 30 seconds in the television and while broadcasting online it has 2 minutes of online content to deliver the message of the lamb love. It features the Australia from different parts are welcomed and to come together for the Lamb barbeque which is supported by the various ministers and the appalling public relation channels. The Meat and Lamb advertisement are promoting a product of the meat and lamb. The product is considered as not vegetarian and part of the food industry (Stobart, 2014). And the type of advertisement appealing is for the general class and for the all the consumers irrespective of any class, religion or gender. Ad background In the advertisement, one can see various religious figures and the Gods along that the founder Ron is enjoying the lamb meat (Baker, 2013). Religious figures which include Jesus Christ, Buddha, Zeus, Aphrodite, Moses, and the Hindu god Ganesha. The Meat Livestock Australia lamb advertisers and brings a unique campaign by which they aim to bring the range of divinities and various prophets within the one platform of Aussie outdoor barbecue. They are discussing the benefits and requirements of the meat and lamb eating. In the advertisements, while sitting for lunch they are seen as discussing not to bring religion into the lunch table. After this, they also discuss that it is a night mare to follow each and every dietary requirement while treating all the individuals under one lunch table (Benoit, 2014). Then they toast towards the Lamb. The God is referred to as a butt of jokes and the catchy content to be seen was the Buddha jokingly describing the elephant which needs to be addres sed. While all the gods, people, and the superpower enjoys the special lunch along with the Lord Ganesha is seen as eating lamb lunch and enjoying every coarse of the meat. They also detail by advertising that through the lamb eating, they are united and not because of any other influential reasons. It has aimed to tell through its advertisement the need to eat lamb and meat, its benefits over the vegans. The advertisement tagline is the You will never lamb alone. Analysis of Segmentation variables consumer behavior issues In analyzing the various segments and the variables which are detailing the consumer behavior, it has seen that while aiming the unique, innovative and catchy advertisement with a content message, they have approached the masses irrationally (Cantallops, 2014). While through the content and the message, it's clear what the main and objectivity of the advertisement are. Through the inclusion of the various religious figures, it has aimed to detail that the Australia is a land of the diverse people. By eating a lamb barbeque at the lunch table, it has detailed the idea and the benefits of eating a simple and relishing meat. The message, content and the innovative advertisement is quite unique which has deeply penetrated in the mindsets of the people. Through this advertisement, they are promoting lamb and meat. It is mainly aimed for the Australian people and advertisement is accurate if we see it from the ethical and rational approach of the natives. While the Australians enjoy meat eating, but by including the various religious figures such as Ganesha it has affected the religious sentiments of the Hindu devotees. They consider the Lord Ganesha as a vegan, someone who showers kindness to all the animals and humans. The unethical and irrational approach by broadcasting such advertisement contents has stirred a controversy globally. The followers of the Hindu religion are deeply hurt and it has stirred an unrest due to the broadcasting of such advertisements. It has been seen as an insensitive and disrespectful by including such content. The lamb and meat advertisement the product is well positioned and emphasized of eating the lamb. It has also differentiated from the other advertisements by showing the lamb barbeque uniqueness which brings and is enjoyed by all the diverse people of Australia (Beech, 2017). The message is appealing and it is different from other competitors advertisements such as the promotion of Eggs, Chicken, live poultry etc. It has an emotional appeal by bringing the message of diverse Australians is united together by eating lamb. It has a decision making of trying the lamb which is enjoyed by all then to go into the details of the dietary and following any specific regimes. It also has cultural appeals which emphasis on the various religious figures. People tend to follow what is been accepted and projected for the region sentiments. By showing all the Gods enjoying the meant and lamb it is would be actually accepted. The consumer would be motivated in buying and eating all, due to the simila r denotation of showing their God eating. It would make prompt decisions among the consumers. The other issues related to the product would be benefits, uniqueness, taste and the consumer preferences which have connected all the individuals under the one lunch table. This advertisement was launched in the year 2016, though the sales of the meat and lamb raised in the Australia it had a significant negative effect on the sales globally (Claiborne, 2015). Analysis of appeals used ethical and consumer behavior issues consumer behavior insights The advertisement has gone into the nitty gritty of the consumer insights by showing the taste, preferences and the uniqueness of the meat and lamb (Goh, 2013). It is showing a simple and clear message of not dividing food on the name of the religion. It addresses to bring the world rto one table instead of segregating and differentiating each and everyone due to the food. It has included a hedonic perspective while emphasizing on the advertisement. It has not only included the attitudes but the various consumer behaviors while making an advertisement. It has also considered the consumer and environmental input. While the natives are only enjoying and eating Australian meat and lamb, if it would have projected the advertisement slightly more differently, it would have definitely resulted in tremendous sales worldwide. Therefore, the slight content message should have been evaluated. This advertisement was launched in September even after the universal condemnation (Hawkins, 2013). The Hindus worldwide boycotted the purchase of the Meat and lamb of Australia. The advertisement is not using the traditional approach of testing the advertisement and the implications consumer behavior. Rather it has only focused on a creativity part. Research and evidence have found that the consumers can connect with the advertisements due to various reasons which can religion, emotional, sentiments or due to the consumer behavior. As the Australian Meat and lamb only focused on the creation part and broadcasting the message it has not considered and evaluated the consumer behavior in-depth.it has projected the message from the viewpoint of the Advertisers. It has not included the consumer attitudes, social implications, and referent influences. It has only included personal norms which are governing the advertisements (Juster, 2015). The advertisers while projected a clear and transparent message but it failed to include the traditional approach and has only included personal approach while making the advertisements. People are aware of the meat and the lamb industry and its benefits, but by showing the link in between the meat and the religion, it has projected the meat industry in the bad spotlight. Apart from Hindus, Buddhism also preaches not to harm anyone living or nonliving. Identification and discussion of advertisement limitations Though, the advertisement could have included more uniqueness by not including such religion figures which are considered vegans and are worshipped blindly(Asongu, 2017). It could have been more researched and the advertisers could have utilized the better content messages to draw a clear line of the broadcasted message. While making advertisements, the research could have enabled the errors and the flaws for a global acceptance. The advertisers could have avoided the controversy by not including the insensitivity towards the inclusion of the God Ganesha which is used to promote the advertisements (Perreault, 2013). Discussion of Improvements The discussion points are-: The religion and food should not have been mixed. Though it's a good idea to project the diverse Australia under one lunch table, it would have been better if instead of religious figures, people from diverse background could have been used. More discussion about the benefits of the lamb and meat could have been discussed, The advertisement was harsh by labeling the Lord Ganesha as elephant which should have been eliminated. It needs to be more sensitive with advertisement making (Solomon, 2014). Various super powers of diverse culture and nations could have been used while making a similar advertisement. Demeaning and degrading things should have been avoided. Conclusions It is a known, while making appropriate advertisements apart from the uniqueness, innovative and the appealing content the advertisers should also research over the customer sentiments, behavioral, ethics and the accuracy of the matter(Ansari, 2017) . It should also abide by the various regulations and legislation rules. The advertisement has a dominating view of aesthetic product, and while making an advertisement it has considered being innovative, unique and catchy but it has not included an in-depth consumer behavior worldwide(Xiang, 2015). System and Application Support Samples †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the System and Application Support. Answer: Right Application Type(s) for Electronic Banking Electronic banking is a form of banking that is carried out on the web and makes use of the platforms for execution of banking functions and services. It is necessary for electronic banking applications to be extremely secure and reliable in nature. This is because of the reason that these applications deal with the information sets that are extremely sensitive and critical. Server-side HTML web applications are an apt choice for the electronic banking applications. In such cases, the server sends the HTML page to the clients and a protected channel is used for the transmission of information. This makes the security of these applications extremely high and reliable. These applications are also easy to be scaled up and down and also have a good performance (Nelson, 2013). Hybrid mobile applications can also be used for the design and development of a mobile application based on electronic banking. This is due to the reason that these apps provide the application with the required device access and also offers the non-functional requirements, such as reliability, performance, scalability and security. The development costs in this case are low because the same HTML code can be used on different platforms (Litayem, 2015). These applications provide the cross-platform operational functionalities and there are many tools that have been launched in the market to design and develop the codes for hybrid apps. One such tool is Phone Gap which can be used to develop a hybrid mobile app for electronic banking services. Right Application Type(s) for Computer System Benchmark Software Computer system benchmark software is a type of software which is used to assess the performance of the computer system with the aid of several tests that are run on the machine. In order to do so, the primary requirement of the application type is to make sure that the complete device access is obtained from the same. For mobile applications, the apt choice for the computer system benchmark software would be hybrid apps. The overall cost that is associated with these applications is moderate and a complete device access is also obtained. In this manner, the application will be able to assess the performance of the device by analyzing the other software and hardware components along with the rest of the applications installed in the device (Blanco, 2016). Dynamic web applications can also be used as a choice for the design and development of a computer system benchmark software. The databases will be utilized for data loading in this case and the contents will be updated with each access. In this manner, it would be possible to obtain a comparison from the logs in terms of the performance of the computer system along with all of its components. There are certain programming languages that are preferred for the development of these web applications, such as PHP and ASP. There can also be modifications and updates that can be easily made to these applications on the basis of the changes that are made to the computer systems and devices (Olston, 2015). Right Application Type(s) for Online Freeware Distribution Freeware is a type of software that is available for free of cost. Online freeware distribution is an activity in which the software is distributed to the users for usage without making the source code available to them. In such applications, a limited access is required for the device and it is also not necessary to include any push notifications in the application. The performance requirements of these applications is also limited and due to all of these reasons mobile web apps are the recommended choice for online freeware distribution applications. The maximum number of users that may obtain the freeware software would be using web as the medium. There will be a limited number of users that will use application stores or markets for this purpose. Web apps will make the distribution process easier and simpler. The development and maintenance cost will be low in this case and the development speed will be fast (Jobe, 2013). JS generation widgets can also be used for the design and development of such software. AJAX query is used for the uploading of the data to the widgets which is used for the distribution of the software. The security, performance and reliability of these applications will also be high which will make it possible for the execution of activities to maximize the distribution processes. Hash-Bang mechanism is used in these applications for the maintenance of the link-ability of these applications (Bolton, 2017). Right Application Type(s) for Online Multiplayer Games The most important and significant requirement for the online multiplayer games is the need of rich graphics, high performance capabilities along with utmost user experience. All of these requirements are fulfilled by native mobile apps. Native mobile applications are the Smartphone applications that are written in a specific programming language and offer high degree of performance and reliability. There might be the need of obtaining access to the mobile device services and tools, such as contacts or camera in case of online games which is provided and made possible through native apps. There is a great degree of customization that comes along with the native mobile apps and the best overall experience is provided by these apps. These application take time to be developed and are also high in terms of the development and maintenance cost (Ibm, 2015). Animated web applications making use of technologies, such as Flash can also be used for the design and development of online multiplayer applications. These applications provide the good user experience as desired in case of the online multiplayer applications. Also, the speed of development is quick in this case. The cost of development that is involved with animated web apps is lower as compared to the native mobile apps (Waerner, 2012). These two application types can therefore be used for the development of the online multiplayer gaming applications. These application will make sure that any number of players can use the games and there are no performance issues experienced. References Blanco, A. (2016). Development of Hybrid Mobile Apps. 7 Proofreading Steps

7 Proofreading Steps 7 Proofreading Steps 7 Proofreading Steps By Mark Nichol Proofreading is the last line of defense for quality control in print and online publishing. Be sure to conduct a thorough proofread of all documents before they are printed for distribution and of all Web pages before they go live, using these guidelines. But before you proof, you must edit. (This post explains the difference between the two processes.) There’s no use expending time and effort to check for minor typographical errors until the editing stage is complete. Review for proper organization, appropriate tone, and grammar, syntax, usage, and style before the document is laid out. Stakeholders should read the edited version before layout and submit requests for revisions during the editing stage. If anyone other than the editorial staff must see the proof, remind him or her that only minor changes should be made at this point. 1. Use a Checklist Create a list of important things to check for, such as problem areas like agreement of nouns and verbs and of pronouns and antecedents, and number style. 2. Fact-Check Double-check facts, figures, and proper names. If information remains to be inserted at the last minute, highlight the omission prominently so that no one forgets to do so. 3. Spell-Check Before proofreading a printout, spell-check the electronic version to find misspellings, as well as errors you or a colleague make frequently, such as omitting a closing parenthesis or quotation mark. 4. Read Aloud Reading text during the proof stage improves your chances of noticing errors, especially missing (â€Å"a summary the report follows†) or repeated (â€Å"a summary of the the report follows†) words. 5. Focus on One Line at a Time When proofing print documents, use another piece of paper or a ruler to cover the text following the line you are proofreading, shifting the paper down as you go along. This technique helps you keep your place and discourages you from reading too quickly and missing subtle errors. 6. Attend to Format Proofreading isn’t just about reviewing the text. Make sure that the document design adheres to established specifications. Check page numbering, column alignment, relative fonts, sizes, and other features of standard elements such as headlines, subheadings, captions, and footnotes. Inspect each type of feature within categories, such as looking at every headline, then every caption, and so on. 7. Proof Again Once revisions have been made, proofread the document again with the same thoroughness, rather than simply spot-checking the changes. An insertion or deletion may have thrown off the line count, for example. Want to improve your English in five minutes a day? Aaron Burr - Biography and the Duel with Hamilton

Aaron Burr - Biography and the Duel with Hamilton Aaron Burr is mostly remembered for a single violent act, the fatal shooting of Alexander Hamilton in their famous duel in New Jersey on July 11, 1804. But Burr was also involved in a number of other controversial episodes, including one of the most disputed elections in American history and a peculiar expedition to the western territories that resulted in Burr being tried for treason. Burr is a puzzling figure in history. He has often been portrayed as a scoundrel, a political manipulator, and a notorious womanizer. Yet during his long life Burr had many followers who considered him a brilliant thinker and a gifted politician. His considerable skills allowed him to prosper in a law practice, win a seat in the U.S. Senate, and nearly attain the presidency in a startling feat of deft political gamesmanship. After 200 years, Burr’s complicated life remains contradictory. Was he a villain, or simply a misunderstood victim of hardball politics? Early Life of Aaron Burr Burr was born in Newark, New Jersey, on February 6, 1756. His grandfather was Jonathan Edwards, a famous theologian of the colonial period, and his father was a minister. Young Aaron was precocious, and entered the College of New Jersey (present day Princeton University) at the age of 13. In the family tradition, Burr studied theology before becoming more interested in the study of law. Aaron Burr in the Revolutionary War When the American Revolution broke out, the young Burr obtained a letter of introduction to George Washington, and requested an officers commission in the Continental Army. Washington turned him down, but Burr enlisted in the Army anyway, and served with some distinction in a military expedition to Quebec, Canada. Burr did later serve on Washington’s staff. He was charming and intelligent, but clashed with Washington’s more reserved style. In ill health, Burr resigned his commission as a colonel in 1779, before the end of the Revolutionary War. He then turned his full attention to the study of the law. Burrs Personal Life As a young officer Burr began a romantic affair in 1777 with Theodosia Prevost, who was 10  years older than Burr and also married to a British officer. When her husband died in 1781, Burr married Theodosia. In 1783 they had a daughter, also named Theodosia, to whom Burr was very devoted. Burr’s wife died in 1794. Accusations always swirled that he was involved with a number of other women during his marriage. Early Political Career Burr began his law practice in Albany, New York before moving to New York City to practice law in 1783. He prospered in the city, and established numerous connections that would prove useful in his political career. In the 1790s Burr advanced in New York politics. During this period of tension between the ruling Federalists and the Jeffersonian Republicans, Burr tended not to align himself too much with either side. He was thus able to present himself as something of a compromise candidate. In 1791, Burr had won a seat in the U.S. Senate by defeating Philip Schuyler, a prominent New Yorker who happened to be the father in law of Alexander Hamilton. Burr and Hamilton had already been adversaries, but Burr’s victory in that election caused Hamilton to hate him. As a senator, Burr generally opposed the programs of Hamilton, who was serving as secretary of the treasury. Burrs Controversial Role in the Deadlocked Election of 1800 Burr was the running mate of Thomas Jefferson in the presidential election of 1800. Jefferson’s opponent was the incumbent president, John Adams. When the electoral vote produced a deadlock, the election had to be decided in the House of Representatives. In the prolonged balloting, Burr  utilized his considerable political skills and nearly pulled off the feat of bypassing Jefferson and gathering enough votes to win the presidency for himself. Jefferson finally won after days of balloting. And in accordance with the Constitution at the time, Jefferson became president and Burr became vice president. Jefferson thus had a vice president he didn’t trust, and he gave Burr virtually nothing to do in the job. Following the crisis, the Constitution was amended so the scenario of the 1800 election could not occur again. Burr was not nominated to run with Jefferson again in 1804. Aaron Burr and the Duel With Alexander Hamilton Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr had been conducting a feud since Burr’s election to the Senate more than 10  years earlier, but Hamilton’s attacks on Burr became more intense in early 1804. The bitterness reached its climax when Burr and Hamilton fought a duel. On the morning of July 11, 1804 the men rowed across the Hudson River from New York City to a dueling ground at Weehawken, New Jersey. Accounts of the actual duel have always differed, but the result was that both men fired their pistols. Hamilton’s shot did not strike Burr. Burrs shot struck Hamilton in the torso, inflicting a fatal wound. Hamilton was brought back to New York City and died the next day. Aaron Burr was portrayed as a villain. He fled and  actually went into hiding for a time, as he feared being charged with murder. Burrs Expedition to the West The once-promising political career of Aaron Burr had been stalled while he served as vice president, and the duel with Hamilton effectively ended any chance he may have had for political redemption. In 1805 and 1806 Burr plotted with others to create an empire consisting of the Mississippi Valley, Mexico, and much of the American West. The bizarre plan had little chance for success, and Burr was charged with treason against the United States. At a trial in Richmond, Virginia, which was presided over by Chief Justice John Marshall, Burr was acquitted. While a free man, his career was in ruins, and he moved to Europe for several years. Burr eventually returned to New York City and worked at a modest law practice. His beloved daughter Theodosia was lost in a shipwreck in 1813, which further depressed him. In financial ruin, he died on September 14, 1836, at the age of 80, while living with a relative on Staten Island in New York City. Ethical aspects of science - Essay Example In an academic context, ethics needs to be considered as ‘an area of study that deals with ideas about what is good and bad behaviour’. Ethics in the academic context is commonly considered to be a branch of philosophy that deals with what is right and what is wrong from a moral point of view.   In general, ethics needs to be considered as all the moral principles that may influence our decisions and correct our behaviour. It needs to be pointed out that these principles can include working, eating, communicating with other people, studying, and so forth.   These principles are meant to keep our own lives and lives of people around in the right order. That is why, since the ancient times people had been expected to follow the rules of ethics and to encourage others to do the same. However, it is necessary to keep in mind that modern world is a complicated place where everything changes fast.   Consequently, the need to adopt ethical theories to the new conditions o f life arises.   Technologies and science develop new ideas faster than ever, and one of the major concerns of science in a context of ethics is a field of biomedical research.   Dramatically fast development of biomedical technologies that happened during the last twenty years produced a huge amount of ethical issues. Organizational Analysis - Essay Example Human resource plays a very important role in the development and success of any organization so was the case with Wal-mart. The employees are still working with their complete dedication and interest to achieve the goal of the mission statement. There are many internal and external challenges faced by the Human resource of Wal-mart such as the employee turnover rate, less capable employees in the developing countries, world politics, economics, inflation, exchange rates, etc. However, Wal-mart successfully faced all the hurdles in its way and qualified to be considered the largest retailers chain in the world. But there is always a room for further improvements and achievements and to fill that gap Wal-mart should continuously come up with new and different ideas to remain dominant in the retailer’s world. Organizational Analysis of Wal-mart Today, the customers not only want to buy things that they want but they actually want to enjoy their shopping experience. Now customers want a lot of merchandize available under one roof with the satisfying services and lowest possible prices, friendly and pleasant shopping environment with free parking. He was the man behind the success of the unique retail store. He believed in leadership through serv ice and customer satisfaction.
